Health and safety

Safety is non-negotiable for us. That's why, every day, we work to strengthen this culture in our organisation and in our partners’. Our greatest asset is the people. For this reason, we work in a preventative manner, to guarantee that everybody who works either directly or indirectly for our company can return home just as they left it: safely.

Safety, our non-negotiable value

Connected to Life Program

Our program Connected to Life transforms this commitment into reality. Launched in 2021 and guided by the Policy for Health and Safety at Work, this initiative covers not only our direct team but also third-party hires employed at our assets. The program brings together policies and practices aligned to legal requirements and our parameters from norm ISO 45001, to guarantee a safe and healthy work environment for everybody.
Safety, our non-negotiable value

Continuous improvement, engagement and training strengthens our culture of safety

For us, Health and Safety at Work (HSW) is a commitment from everybody. We have a variety of routines to communicate and ensure that good practices are followed.

Safety walkarounds check conditions and risky behaviour for HSW

Directors, managers, coordinators, specialists and the company's HSW team visit the operations and projects to raise and deal with issues associated with HSW that could lead to accidents. The registration of the walkarounds is part of the criteria for the variable remuneration of leadership and is one of the indicators continually monitored by HSW governance.

Recurring analysis of indices assures governance

Reactive and proactive indicators are followed in periodic meetings with company leadership, partner companies and with high level leaders. The HSW report is also sent to all leadership with main indicators related to the issue. This practise insurers shared governance among the various areas and the locations in which the works are situated.

Logbook guarantees transparency in management

Engineers and safety technicians work in partnership with project teams at work sites to guarantee the necessary safety conditions to carry out the activities. With the logbook, there is a guideline that uses the main indicators for these professionals to plan and report daily activities, which contribute to the effectiveness of actions and transparency of this management, in addition to proposing improvement measures.

Training in Health and Safety at Work

We closely follow the involvement of employees and third-party employees in HSW. For the first group the trainings are given either virtually or in person, depending on the nature of each course, and registered in a specific system. However, the contracted company that is responsible for third-party employees must guarantee the validity of the certification of their professionals on a third-party management platform and a Third Party Management Platform in accordance with regulations provided by ISA ENERGIA BRASIL.
