The Jacarandá Paulista is a tree found primarily in the states of Minas Gerais, Goiás, and São Paulo. Its surface is irregularly lustrous, with a brown trunk that has reflections, stripes, or dark shadows. It is highly valued in the production of luxury furniture, decorative objects, flooring, and parquet.

Among the various tree species in the Serra da Cantareira are: Jacarandá Paulista, national oak, rose cedar, ipe, braúna, fig tree, jequitibá, embaúba, pau jacaré, imbuia, black cinnamon, sassafras cinnamon, pau pereira, and even araucarias, typical of the southern region of the country, all of which can be seen.
