Overview

As leaders in the energy transmission sector in Brazil, we are responsible for structuring and maintaining a prosperous and sustainable business model that meets the needs of today's society and future generations.

We contribute to the energy transition by connecting new wind farms, solar power plants, and hydropower stations to major consumption centers in Brazil. Our assets are essential for supplying cities and rural areas, enhancing development, work, education, and well-being.

The National Interconnected System (SIN)

The National Interconnected System (SIN) is the network that connects electricity generation and transmission units across Brazil. Managed by the National Electric System Operator (ONS), the SIN ensures a continuous supply of electricity by coordinating the flow of energy in real-time to balance supply and demand. It is important to note that:

  • The interconnection promotes energy security and allows for the diversification of the national energy matrix, integrating both renewable and non-renewable sources.
  • The installed generation capacity of the SIN is primarily composed of hydropower plants.
  • In recent years, there has been significant growth in the installation of wind power plants, which are the second-largest source of energy generated in the country, according to the ONS.

How energy reaches your home

We manage the entire journey of energy, from power plants to substations and transmission lines, which are responsible for transmitting high-voltage electricity to distributors that reduce the voltage to 127 or 220 volts before it reaches consumers.

We continuously strive to uphold the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
